Why do sites offer free hosting? How do these entities afford their resources. My guess they are hacker traps that steal your password, (hoping you use it elsewhere) e-mail addresses and gather as much personal info you're willing to share with other forum members. Even if that isn't what is happening, what resources are provided to host a serious forum? ProBoards (BaCon home) uses advertising but doesn't really care if the advertisers are malware as long as they get paid.
