The open source community has release replacement solutions for the Oracle acquisition of MySql and the Open Office suite.
MariaDB (http://mariadb.org/)
LibreOffice (http://www.libreoffice.org/)

Open Office is with the Apache Foundation now. I always like it better.
MySql is still with Oracle, but it says open source?
Will look at mariaDB
what about http://www.postgresql.org/
