Title: Google Hits
Post by: John on October 29, 2015, 07:46:31 PM
I'm surprise that a site where I mostly talk to myself is doing so well on Google.  :)

Congrats!

Now you can goto Google page 5 only to find separate "all", "basic", and "info" matches listed there. I guess "info" alone will account for a total of approx. 3,379,000 hits reported. Not that anybody at all would be doing much better these days though.

Never mind, keep it up long as you can. :)

allbasic.info: means indexes to the www.allbasic.info site only. Your example is incorrect.

That 3,380,000 Google estimated site content indexes is real.

Here is the results of the FBSL.net and BP.org domains.

Great! Another penis-measuring contest drawing to a head!!  :D

Please show me at least one link from Google search page 5 for allbasic.info: that would mention, or link to, this site.

Your search query was not correct. Should've been "allbasic.info", quotes included. See snapshot #2 below.

Mike,

The quotes assume you're searching the the word allbasic.info. The allbasic.info: is the de facto way to get a count of references to a particular domain. This is not a pissing match. Time in service and meaningful content is what makes the story.

The All BASIC forum is 3 times more popular with Google than the FreeBASIC forum. Imagine that.

A big portion of the Google references are files.allbasic.info.

If the truth be known, I dinged All BASIC in the search engines by shutting it down for a few months. Not too smart on my part.
