Post by: Mike Lobanovsky on April 29, 2014, 03:35:20 PM
Gentlemen,

basicprogramming.org's pages seem to be infected with adware:

I'm surprised anyone still posts there. It's mostly a retro hobbyist site for old guys with no friends.  :P

I've a similar impression about their content yet I do visit to read a few pages from time to time. Never been registered there though.

I'm seeing the same spam (http://www.oxygenbasic.org/forum/index.php?topic=1067.msg8991#msg8991) in all my browsers.

I can safely say you're not missing anything.

Hello John,

My XP's IE8 has just been successfully auto-updated by MS. Perhaps we should've thought better before posting in that other thread. :)

I got a refresh screen shot of My Last Update to replace the original My Last Update pic.  ;D

Seriously, I think it was smart to include XP. If someone in the office hadn't upgraded yet and got infected and then started infecting the current Windows OS's in the office it would have been a nightmare.
